Son Blanc Farmhouse sits in the island's interior on 130 hectares of preserved land — a former dormant farmstead transformed into a working farm and retreat. The project is ambitious and serious: regenerative agriculture, a self-sufficient drive that extends to energy, water and food, and 14 rooms inside a traditional stone farmhouse restored through collaboration between architects and local artisans. The result is one of the most considered places to stay anywhere in the Mediterranean.

“The farm itself — hens, pigs, donkeys, cows, sheep and bees living alongside the guests, regenerating the land and closing natural cycles. The kitchen uses what the farm produces each day. The edible forest, orchard, olive groves and vegetable gardens are all part of the landscape guests move through.”

What your days could look like
Wake to the sounds of the farm. Breakfast with what the kitchen has prepared from the morning's produce. A walk through the edible forest and orchards, or a guided immersion into the farm's work. Lunch under the olive trees. An afternoon treatment, or an independent exploration of the reserve's ravines and pine woods. Dinner around the table as the light fades over the Menorcan landscape.

People
The Hosts
Son Blanc was conceived as a utopian retreat — a working demonstration of what sustainable hospitality can look like when taken seriously. The founding philosophy extends to the architecture (natural materials: stone, clay, wood, textiles), the agriculture (regenerative, working towards self-sufficiency), the food (daily from the farm and sea) and the guest experience (immersion in the land, not isolation from it).
